Orchestration is one of Jonathan's personal specialities. He teaches the subject at Scenes + Sessions, hosted by the University of Aberdeen. the University of Aberdeen.

Jonathan studied edition as a final project at Bangor University (a synoptic edition of Charles Villiers Stanford's Second Symphony Mvt. 1). He continually keeps up-to-date with contemporary notation standards and edits past compositions to reflect this ever-evolving knowledge.
